In the Pastoral Plan for the Eparchy 2013-2020, Bishop Antoine-Charbel Tarabay announced care for the elderly as a key priority with plans to re-establish aged care facilities at Our Lady of Lebanon, Harris Park. We are an ageing community but it is becoming increasingly difficult to care for the sick and frail at home.
The aged care facilities will enable us to better care for and support our seniors and to keep them close within the community, near to their families, their people and their church.
Work is progressing on plans and applications for the Our Lady Aged Care Centre. Demolition of the existing structures commenced at the end of 2016.
This project is generously supported by the Commonwealth Government of Australia, several charitable organisations and the generosity of the people of our Maronite community. It can only be realised through your support and assistance.
Other Aged Care facilities can be found on the Maronite.org.au website.
